Schedules for Clinical Assessment in Neuropsychiatry (SCAN)

Description

The SCAN is a semi-structured instrument designed for use as a clinician-administered diagnostic assessment. The SCAN was developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) from the well-known Present State Exam (PSE) just as the WHO developed the CIDI from the DIS.

Training is available on the SCAN through the SCAN Training and Reference Center in the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University.
