Monica Bishop, M.D. 

Monica Bishop, M.D. is an NIMH post-doctoral fellow and clinical Instructor in the Washington University Department of Psychiatry.  After completing her BA in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, she worked as a research assistant with Dr. Mary Morrison on a study of the effects of estrogen on depression in post-menopausal women.  She then came to St. Louis to attend medical school at Washington University School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency training in general psychiatry in June 2005.

Dr. Bishop is currently working with Denise Wilfley, Ph.D. in the Weight Management and Eating Disorders Program.  She is involved in several ongoing projects in the lab which are focused on binge eating disorder, anorexia nervosa, childhood obesity, and interpersonal and family therapies.

Dr. Bishop is also involved in clinical teaching and supervision of Washington University residents and medical students as an Instructor and Clinic Attending.  She also treats patients at the Midwest Psychiatry Day Hospital.
