Dionna Roberts

Dionna O. Roberts first began working with the Epidemiology and Prevention Research Group (EPRG) as a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Summer Scholar in 2006. As a Summer Scholar she worked with Dr. Cottler on the Women Teaching Women (WTW) project, where she conducted literary searches and reviews on the myths and perceptions of HIV/AIDS and STD prevention. She also worked on the introduction to a paper concerning sex-trading women, who abuse crack cocaine and who are at risk for contracting HIV/AIDS and other STDs.

Currently, Dionna is working part-time with EPRG as a Professional Rater I on the Prescription Drug Misuse, Abuse and Dependence study. Her duties include conducting study interviews with participants and tracking participants for completion of study appointments.

Dionna is a 2007 graduate of Spelman College in Atlanta Georgia. At Spelman, she majored in Comparative Women’s Studies, concentrating in Biology and Health. Presently, Dionna is working on her Master of Public Health and her Master of Science in community health and nutrition and dietetics at Saint Louis University, in St. Louis Missouri
