Ellen Edens, M.D. 

Ellen L. Edens, M.D. is a NIMH-funded postdoctoral trainee in Psychiatric Epidemiology. After completing her medical degree at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Maryland in 2002, she entered a residency in adult psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.  She completed her residency in June, 2006.

Dr. Edens is currently a second year post-doctoral student working with two mentors, Kathleen Bucholz, PhD, and Anne Glowinski, MD, MPE.  She is working on a 14 year follow-up study of community alcoholics.  These adults were initially surveyed during the 1981-1983 St. Louis Epidemiologic Catchment Area Study, a landmark study in psychiatric epidemiology.
