Enbal Shacham, PhD


Enbal Shacham, PhD is a NIDA-funded
post-doctoral trainee. After receiving her Master's degree in Health
Promotion and Behavior from the University of Georgia, she managed HIV
prevention programs at a community-based organization in Atlanta, Georgia
before working at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on a
marketing campaign. She received her doctorate in Health Behavior
from the Department of Applied Health Science at Indiana University in
Bloomington, Indiana. Her dissertation research was conducted in
Western Kenya and studied the intersection of HIV infection and
psychological distress symptoms.
Enbal's research interests include the
behavioral and environmental factors associated with HIV infection, which
include sexual health, mental health, and substance abuse.
Furthermore, she hopes to conduct research on an international scope.
