Mini Tandon, DO

Mini Tandon, D.O., is an NIMH post doctoral research fellow and child psychiatrist.  After receiving her B.S. in Biology and Psychology at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, she attended medical school at the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City.  Both her residency and fellowship in General Psychiatry as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry were completed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJC)/Washington University School of Medicine/St.Louis Children’s Hospital in 2007.

Her research interests target the nosology, validation and examination of the longitudinal stability of preschool diagnoses including ADHD, Mood Disorders and common comorbidities to improve early psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic treatment options.  She is currently working on an NIMH-funded phase I trial of a parent-child interactive therapy targeting emotion development with her mentor, Joan Luby, M.D.

In addition to her research activities, Dr. Tandon provides outpatient psychiatric care to children and adolescents at BJC Behavioral Health in Farmington, Missouri.
