Dr. Glowinski is an Assistant Professor (Child and Adolesent Psychiatry) in the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Glowinski completed her medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and her residency in Psychiatry and fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore,MD. Dr. Glowinski started her research training in 1999 at WUSM as a psychiatric epidemiology fellow and MPE student. Her research now focuses on the genetic epidemiology of childhood psychiatric and behavioral disorders, with currently an emphasis on depression, suicidal behavior and comorbidity.

She received a career development award from the NIMH in 2002 to fund 5 years of research on the familial transmission of youth suicidal behavior.

Other awards have included the Klingenstein Third Generation Award for Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Depression (1999), the NARSAD Young Investigator Award (Callaghan Investigator) (2000) and the American Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Journal Award 2002 for best paper on Depression or Suicide research published in the Journal of American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2001-2002. In addition to her research, Dr. Glowinski continues with clinical activities and teaching.
